The Test Jig is capable to conduct three major tests like, OFF state forward and reverse blocking voltage, DC triggering characteristics, ON state current conduction & voltage drop measurement on SCR under test.
Input voltage: 230 volts, 50 Hz, single phase, AC.
Output-1 [For Blocking state mode]
Continuously variable 0 to + 3 kV DC peak.
Max. Capacity: 200 mA.
Metering: Digital voltmeter & ammeter to read peak output DC voltage & current.
Protection: One snap acting over current protective device which will "trip off" the output voltage circuit in case of breakdown of the thyristor under test.
Output-2 [FOR DC triggering characteristics mode]
Continuously variable 0-15V DC output with current control facility from 100mA to 1A. This power source is isolated from the power side.
Metering: Digital voltmeter & ammeter to read output DC voltage & current.
One DC triggering module named as gate power source.
Output-3 [FOR ON state current conduction & voltage drop measurement mode]
Continuously variable DC source to check forward voltage drops of the device & loading of the device up to 100A peak DC.
Metering: Digital voltmeter to measure forward drop peak voltage of the thyristor under test & digital ammeter to read output direct peak current.
Protection: Snap acting over load circuit.
One Test Chamber is provided with the test jig. The sample under test is fitted within this Test Chamber during testing. Interconnecting cables are also provided.
