Lab Satellite Communication Receiver Trainer is highly advanced version. After studying this demonstrator the student will have thorough knowledge of Satellite Communication Receiver.

The objectives of using this trainer are:

The block diagram of the Satellite Communication Receiver is printed on the front panel of the trainer. All necessary test points are provided to observe various signals at different stages. Controls like Vision IF, gain control, and volume control are provided on the trainer.

DESCRIPTION OF SATELLITE RECEIVER

The main function of receiver is to select a particular channel in the converted block of frequencies between 950-1450 MHz and separate the audio and video information. The audio and video cut sockets are provided at the back of the receiver. Generally, an internal modulator is incorporated in the receiver which modulates the audio and video information giving the modulated RF output .

The receiver consists of the following stages:

3. Detector + Amplifier
i. Frequency Demodulator

DESCRIPTION:

The lab Microwave communications training system provides a complete hands-on course of study in the principles of microwave communications. Supplied with a laboratory manual containing both theory and practical exercises contains all the necessary hardware to allow students to explore the real-life application and limitations of microwaves.

The practical exercises and assessments contained in the laboratory manual help students to understand how physical phenomena such as INTERFERENCE, PROPAGATION, AND ABSORPTION of microwaves can have serious effects upon the performance of communications systems.

Radar Training Kit is a comprehensive trainer comes with all necessary microwave components. In this trainer, all importance has been given to understand the basic principles of radar operation. The detailed Instruction Manual will be supplied along with the trainer.

System consists of a micro wave and modulator followed by a variable attenuator and transmit antenna in form of horn.

Target is a metallic reflector. The receiver consists of horn antenna and detector pulse from modulator is applied to CRO. The returned reflected signal is also applied to CRO to measure time delay of returned signal.
