Objectives of this experiment:
1. To determine the characteristics of HALF-WAVE RECTIFIER.
2. To determine the characteristics of FULL-WAVE RECTIFIER.
3. To determine the characteristics of a BRIDGE RECTIFIER.
4. To investigate how the size of the filter capacitor affects the ripple amplitude and the output voltage.
5. To demonstrate the operation of a full-wave voltage doubler. An unregulated power supply consists of a rectifier and a filter. This is used in applications where the DC voltage is not critical, in respect of regulation and ripple contents, like radio receivers, audio amplifiers, etc.
