In our machine a round specimen can be held between the gripping jaws without their ends being machined to a square form, which is a unique feature in our Machine. The gripping jaws provided are 'Talon-Claw' dual gripping system, which Ensures proper gripping without any chance of slippage. In other makes, this feature is not available. In their machines, a square rod is Machined from the center to form round and either ends are in square form, to Fit onto the square slot on either ends of the gripping jaws. Square specimens are quite expensive and machining it in the center to round Form is time consuming and laborious.

Features:
This machine is used to test the Fatigue strength of materials and to draw S-N diagram by research institutes, laboratories, material manufacturers and various industries. This is a rotating beam type machine in which load is applied in reversed bending fashion. The standard 8 mm dia specimen is held in special holders at its ends and loaded such that it experiences a uniform bending moment. The specimen is rotated at 4200 rpm by a motor. A complete cycle of reversed stresses in all fibres of the specimen is produced during each revolution. The bending moment is applied with a lever system and can be easily changed by moving a weight over the lever. Total number of revolutions at which the specimen fails are recorded by a Digital counter. An interlocking system puts off the motor at specimen failure. Machine meets requirements of IS 5075-1969

The equipment is designed to reveal the cupping qualities of metal sheets and strips. It can also be used for testing adhesion, elasticity and porosity of coats of paints or varnish by way of comparison. The material after fracture gives in grain structure and contitution.

Features:

  • The big handle and the intermediate gearing provided make easy pressing and swelling out of the charged sheet metal by the punch.
  • It is easy to get the pointer to zero as the top of punch and furrow holding plane are always kept to coincide by measurement correction panel.
  • A necessary tolerance, 0.05mm is obtained by the rear back screw, easily and precisely.
  • By utilizing the attached test piece holders, suitable tests for nos. 1,2 and 3 test pieces, can be easily performed at the most normal location.

Installation:

It is recommended that the machine is mounted on a table. It reserves rights of change in the above specification due to constant improvement in design. The dimensions given above are all approximate. Erichsen tester is designed to carry out Erichsen Cupping test on metals. Quick clamping and manual operation facilitates faster and trouble free working of the machine.
