The VLSI Trainer Model VLSI - 2 focuses on the electronics perspective of the concepts of VLSI system design. This means that the main focus is on the circuit design aspects such as the implementation of logic gates, boolean expressions etc in the transistor logic, rather than the fabrication techniques. This model focuses of the basic
VLSI principle of the transistor level implementation of simple gates such as the inverter, NAND and NOR. This trainer alone might not be enough to comprehend all the concepts in VLSI design. However, this knowledge is vital in understanding complex circuit design in transistor logic. In other words, this trainer constitutes the first few micro-steps in the journey of a million transistor-miles.
