MPT-85LCD Microprocessor board designed around 8085 is ideal for learning 8 bit Microprocessors and peripherals. This makes use of a LCD display to display the mnemonics and codes using 2 Line by 16 Character LCD display is directly connected to the bus like a memory device. This system has a built in LINE-BY-LINE assembler and disassembler. It means that, whenever a line is entered in assembler mode, it verifies the correctness of mnemonic and assembles into its equivalent opcodes and / or associated data in that line. It is also possible to disassemble the entered programs. The user programs are entered using 101 PC type keyboard. Lower bytes of address and data are multiplexed as in 8085 and hence a decoder is necessary separate address and data. Firmware is stored in 16KB EPROM. User data/programs can be stored in 8KB CMOS static RAM of type 6264. This can be upgraded to 32KB RAM using 32kB static memory chip like 62256. It has 48 TTL I/O lines on board. All the I/O lines are brought terminated on 50 pin FRC connectors for conducting necessary interface experiments. MPT-85LCD has a built in RS232C serial communication system terminated on a 9 pin D-Type connector. This may be used for communicating with remote PC computer. Baud rate of serial communication may be changed from 150 to 9600 baud. It has three-channel timer on board. Transmit and receive clock for USART is obtained from Channel 0 of timer. The board can operate using the 101/104 PC keyboard supplied along with the trainer kit and 2 Line by 16-character LCD display or from the PC (using the Terminal Emulation Software). Microprocessor?s Address, Data and Control bus pins are brought to the 50 pin FRC connector. MPT-85 LCD is equipped with powerful software monitor. The monitor supports Video terminals RS232C interface, local 101 keyboard and LCD display. The board has 8KB CMOS static RAM that can be upgraded to 32KB. Specifications: 1.
