Acceleration Timer (Tape Timer)
(LSE) |
This is a well-designed PSSC-type timer, easy to use and remarkably accurate. It plugs directly into any grounded 110 volt outlet with no need for a cumbersome transformer. The timer places a carbon dot on a special sheet of moving paper (included) exactly every 1/60 of a second, functioning in the same manner and with the precision of an electric clock. You can demonstrate the concepts of velocity, acceleration and friction when the spacing between the dots is measured and compared. The hardwood body is heavy enough to work without table clamps, although holes for attaching to standard support rods are included. We offer shielded electric conncections, adjustable tuning nut and permanently mounted brackets for the snug insertion of paper tape. |
