This charger is suitable to deliver high current at low voltage to the discharged battery (rechargeable), which after getting charge for some time start decreasing the current with a consistent rise in the output voltage. This mode of charging is taper charging. Input Voltage: 415V, 3 phase, 4 wire, 50Hz, AC. Outputs: The DC current & voltage output varies between maximum and minimum value. High current i.e. maximum value of current is required for initial charging of the discharged battery at minimum voltage. Gradually, this current decreases to a minimum value at maximum voltage.
Series: BC X1X1X1 A; X1X1X1 denotes maximum current value. Type: YYYVXXXAZZZV; YYY denotes maximum voltage value. XXX denotes minimum current value. ZZZ denotes minimum voltage value. The transformer will be air-cooled, delta-star connected with ?OFF-Load? tap changing facility. The transformer is connected to full wave silicon rectifier. Metering: One Ammeter and One Voltmeter provided to indicate the charging current and voltage would be provided. Protection: Triple pole switch, H.R.C. fuse, knife switch & rewireable fuse of suitable will be provided on AC & DC sides respectively. A thermal Relay will be incorporated with the contactor for protection of diodes against overload due to short circuit. The rectifier assembly will be suitably provided with a surge suppression network. Provision for terminals of output connections incorporated.
