| Patient simulator is an electronic instrument. This provides 6 different standard waveforms required to simulate the presence of an actual patient. This instrument also provides scope for calibrating the ECG machine. Normally in a laboratory study environment, it is too cumbersome to make a volunteer to lie on a bed and connect the necessary leads and clean after the experiment. Hence this acts as an alternate source of waveform for ECG machine. The patterns produced by this are not ideal waveforms of an ailing patient. It is an ideal waveform only. |
