Free Fall Vacuum Tube (Guinea & Feather)
(LSE) |
This counter-intuitive experiment often has to be seen to be believed. Duplicate Galileo's famous experiment off the Leaning Tower of Pisa! He used the traditional guinea and feather to show how heavy and light items fall at same rate in a vacuum despite their relative weights and sizes. Includes: an 81cm long tube, constructed of butyrate to minimize the likelihood that static will affect your results; substantial rubber caps on either end, one with a hose cock and rubber hose for evacuating the tube; a set of weights to simulate the ?guinea? and ?feather? and illustrated instructions. You need vacuum pump, not included. |
