For determining the relative conductivity of bad conductor material. Consists of a cylindrical slab of brass 115mm in diameter & 12mm thick drilled to take thermometer. On this rests a 50mm deep steam chest of the same diameter with inlet & outlet tubes for steam. The apparatus is suspended by strings attached to the lower end of the cylinder with thermometer. On retort stand with rectangular base 200x125mm & rod 600mm long. Complete with one each disc specimens, glass & plastic 3mm & 1.5mm thick respectively. For determining the conductivity of liquids. |
