For demonstrating that the pressure of a liquid at the bottom of a vessel is proportional to the depth of the liquid and is independent of the volume and shape of the vessel. Consists of three borosilicate glass vessels of different shapes, open at both ends, having ground edges and bottom openings of equal size. Provided with plastic disks and attached hooks and strings so that when vessels are immersed, bottom down, water pressure holds the disk in place. Used to show that the depth of the vessel when water is poured inside it, is independent of the shape of the vessel. |
