A Schmidt Trigger is a circuit that is intended to raise the output to TTL level, provided the input signal qualifies to provide sufficient minimum voltage level called as lower triggering point (LTP) and upper triggering point (UTP). This trainer is intended to study how this can be achieved. For greater understanding of this concept, three different configuration circuits are provided. They are using transistors, using OpAmps and using digital IC. In this trainer the student experiments to understand the above objectives. Necessary connections are established by single strand patch cords. It has built-in power supplies, suitable terminals etc. You need an additional circuit that generates an input signal. This can be obtained using a variable amplitude function generator. Dual trace 15MHz oscilloscope is a must for this experiment. |
