The microscope carriage is mounted on twin parallel steel rods, along which it moves freely for coarse adjustment. Fine adjustments are made by means of a fine-thread screw. The pedestal can be used horizontally or vertically and the microscope tube can be swiveled so that it is parallel or perpendicular to the motion. The microscope tube is focused by rack and pinion and is equipped with a cross-line graticule. Supplied in a polished wooden case. |
