Model Y1 is a "6 in 1 equipment. It provides regulated power supplies and input signals, which are most widely used.

It has three IC-regulated power supplies. They are +1.2V to +15V/500mA, - 1.2V to -1 5V/500mA, (for energizing NPN-PNP transistor & op-amps) and + 5V(fixed)/500mA (for powering digital lCs).
It has two signal sources i.e. sine wave and square waves, with variable frequency, between 200Hz to 20,000 Hz and with amplitude variation between 0 to 10V. (P - P)
It has a TTL-compatible clock generator of exactly 1 Hz (one second) signal for energising frequency counters.
It has a center-tapped (15-0-15)V power transformer and a 1 K- ohm and a 100Kohm potentiometers (for conducting experiments in half, full and bridge rectifier and voltage multipliers).
All above facilities are available to the user across individual terminals for simultaneous applications.

The INTERLABS A.F.OSCILLATOR, Model AFO-1, is a very useful laboratory instrument and is a source of pure sine wave and square waves. It is intended primarily to test, measure audio equipment parameters, such as input sensitivity, frequency response, stage gain, distortion and power.

It can be used to test or service any audio devices, like microphones, loudspeaker, pickups, amplifiers, etc.

It can also be used as a tone generator and to modulate RF signals. The square waves are intended to determine frequency response and harmonic distortion quickly. Square-wave testing of amplifier is a modern and easier method.

This instrument is completely an IC version and generates frequencies, from 2Hz to 200KHZ in five decade ranges. The output voltage can be varied continuously upto 10 volts (peak) Into 150 ohms. The distortion is less than 0.5 percent.
The rise time of the square wave is less than 50 nano seconds. This instrument is housed in a sturdy metal cabinet, which is light in weight,
