Flywheel and Connecting Rod
This apparatus is designed to understand the principle of flywheel and connecting rod and its necessity to the mechanical world. The connecting rod is driven through a Motor of 50 Watts and 1/6 hp AC/DC electric drive which is coupled with flexible love joy coupling. 2 different sizes of flywheels are provided. A pointer and scale arrangement is given to derive the Velocity reading. The total arrangement is done on a Solid Metallic base: Loading is done through Spring arrangement. Dimensions of the base unit is 39" x 31".

Turn Table Apparatus - Simplified Model
This apparatus is designed to find out the mass inertia of the given disc, the system is driven by 128 watts FHP motor and Dimmerstat is provided to regulate the Power Source to have variable drive, a Magnetic Proximity Pick up sensor is fitted to sense the RPM readability through the Digital Indicator. Dimensions: Disc dia 14" * 12mm thick. The disc is provided with dual wings which are having the roller weights on both sides. Central loading arrangement is provided in different tonnage. Worm Gear
For connecting non-parallel non-intersecting shafts worm gears may be used. It has quiet operation, because more teeth are in contact. It can able to transmit motion to one direction only. i.e., from the input shaft to the output shaft. Motion cannot be transmitted from the wheel to the worm. The efficiency is lower than that of toothed gear drive.
